Dial A Lock FAQ’s

We are a Merseyside based company, with our own vans so we can travel anywhere. We also aim to be there within the hour but we will always keep in contact and keep you updated.

We work Monday to Friday, 9am until 5pm.

But, in emergency situations, we can usually arrange for a locksmith to arrive within an hour. We try to keep in contact with you and let you know if there are any issues whilst driving over.

We can open most locks non-destructively, and aim to repair rather than replace locks, which will keep the cost down. We will always keep you updated when we are on the job but prior to coming out to you, we will always ask more questions so we can give you our best estimate on prices. 

Our vans are fully stocked with all kinds of equipment which will also keep disruptions to a minimum as we can repair or replace the lock on the very first visit.

Times may vary depending on the job.

For example, a mortice lock change (on average) would take around 45 minutes, but a Yale lock could be repaired or replaced within 20 minutes. Make sure to try and explain as much as possible on the phone to us what the problem is so we can give you a real estimate.

Usually yes. Our locksmiths carry a comprehensive range of locks and associated security parts on well-stocked vans by normal industry standards. Don’t worry, we will always communicate any problems faced and will give you different security options where we can.

No, if we need to return with parts it is inclusive of the original price.

Yes, all the vans are stocked with various locks to choose from in different styles and finishes.

All parts are guaranteed for 12 months, do make sure to keep a hold of your receipt.

We accept cash or debit/credit card.

But we do not accept Cheques.
